Bidandi Urged to Leave Movt Fully

Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) youth wing has urged the former NRM-O Vice Chairman, Mr Jabel Bidandi Ssali, to fully abdicate from the Movement camp.
In a press statement, the International League for the UPC youths spokesperson, Mr Okot Ochen, said, "We thank Bidandi for the bold political step he has made by resigning from a dictatorial organisation. However by saying he intends to influence issues from the Movement camp, we think that is a joke of the century."
Okot said the NRM-O does not encourage political dialogue with their opponents, so Bidandi would be wasting time and strength in the struggle to liberate Uganda.
He said UPC was not interested in ruling Uganda but rather leading people in the country.
Okot was reacting to Cap. Mike Mukula's statement, where he reportedly said that UPC would never rule Uganda again.
He said, "Mukula and his fellow Movement boys should know that UPC does not believe in ruling Uganda, Instead, we would prefer to lead Uganda in a more democratic direction." He said UPC was not ready to take away peoples rights just like the Museveni government is doing.

Okot said this rule was evident in an incident where Mukula is reported to have drawn a gun at a person in Palisa for opposing the third term project.
He said such things were a clear testimony of the Movement government.
