I'll be sure to read this one. For days now I have told anyone who would listen that that there is some thing fishy about the election results and the explanations advanced to account for those results, e.g.

 

"explanation"                                     reality

==========                                  ===============

it was the rural vote                          USA is 80% urban

'moral values' & anti-gay marriage    The biggest protestant church                                           recently elected an open gay bishop

"land-slide"                                     until 4-hrs before close, Kerry was leading in many exit polls

 

so what happened?

Professor Steven Freeman, a statistician at the University of Pennsylvania, offers a disturbing answer. Looking at the exit polls and announced results in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania, he concludes that the odds against such an accidental discrepancy in all three states together was 250 million to one.
