THE National resistance Movement (NRM) leadership is in a state of denial like alcoholics, former army commander Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu has said.
Addressing promoters of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) at Makerere University Primary School on Sunday, Muntu described the NRM leadership as a drunkard who denies his state yet everyone sees him as drunk.

"Making mistakes is not a problem because no human being is perfect. The biggest problem is not accepting that you have made mistakes and you need not to repeat them," he said.
"They have simply forgotten history. If they ever read history, it was for the purposes of passing examinations because we tried to correct these mistakes internally but we were resisted," Muntu added.

He said NRM propagandists were mistaking the patience and discipline of former NRM supporters for being disgruntled.
"We are not disgruntled. If we were populists we would have been heard long ago. But because we believed in nation building and not destruction, we were saying these same things but internally," Muntu said.
