Both Mutoto Ya Ssimba and James have raised valid points: Tribalism is a retrogressive force for the advancement of Africans and Africa.
For instance, Chief GASHA Butelazi of Zulu land ( igorant as he is) was used by forces of imperalism to advance the agenda of Imperalist.
Tribalism and marginalization of certain grooups, continues to be the leading cause of conflict in nations such as Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan e.t.c We know this for a fact.
We Also know for a fact that RENAMO was used by certain forces in the western world to quote "check the soviet influence in Africa" to of course ,the detriment of Africans.
The question then is : why do we africans allow this forces to play as like second fiddles?

If Smith found a utilized the tribal loophole in Mozambique. We all saw the bombing, killing and maimimng of kids and what Renamo's war did to Mozambique. Was that killing done for democracy or it was done for the Rhodesia, US, UK and South Africa?
