It is now common knowledge that Renamo led by Alfonso Dhlakama was formed and funded by Ian Smith's Rhodesian government to slow down Mozambique's assistance to Zanu. As much as you pointed out the problems in Mozambique, Ian Smith himself has admitted to forming and funding Renamo for a specific purpose!Angola's Unita was formed and financed by the US to fight against "Communist" involvement in the Southern Africa region. And again as much as you would like to discredit the situation, US congress does have votes on this Savimbi guy to fight "communism in Southern Africa". Was Savimbi fighting "communists" too?One therefore has to be careful in looking at the situation in Zimbabwe. I am sure that maybe Savimbi and Dhlakama had genuine reasons for forming an opposition, but how much influence did they have? I think pretty much everyone will agree with me here that eventually those parties became tools of other governments as opposed to opposition parties!The big question in Zimbabwe's case is if Tsvangirai and his party are strong enough not to be tools of those who are funding them! Are they still genuine opposition party or are they tools of the British and the West. Here is an article that I would like you to read about Soros and the tactics the west is now using to dislodge a government. It should explain why Zanu banned foreign funding of parties and NGOs and specifically the Daily News. And of course Masiiwa who is said to be a front for Soros.I do not know if Savimbi and Dhlakama knew they were tools. I do not know if the rest of the people who genuinely supported the opposition in both Angola and Mozambique knew the origins and objectives of their chosen parties.....We need to be careful
