ADJUMANI - Rebels of the " Lords Resistance Army (LRA)" on Saturday sneaked into Adjumani district and abducted people.
They attacked Melijo village in Boroli parish, Pakelle sub-county about 17 kilometers south east of Adjumani town.

The LC5 Chairman, Mr Nixon Owole, said reports show that 13 people were abducted but only two returned.
Sources said the rebels pounced on the village at around 8:00 pm.
Pakelle sub-county chairman, Mr Dominic Tako, said among the abducted was a Sudanese refugee from a nearby refugee camp.

He said the rebels looted food items from the residents before abducting the owners as they fled the area.
The District Police Commander, Mr Natharias Mugisha, said security forces were " pursuing the attackers".
