More like the famous uncle from the beltway here in Washington D.C . Inspite of numerous adivise from prominent members of the International community like Nelson Mandela or even
the pope, the man simply wanted to fight..rather take on the Arab world..and now there is no getting out...the world is a total mess, US credibility ( which is very importatnt in International Politics and in this world of Humanity)  in the eyes of the world has been destroyed beyond repair. Many of the Rogue states are now desperately trying to acquire Nuclear, the only deterence the have been lead to believe, will stop washington from engageing in yet another "shock and awe" episode on other nations.  suvch is then the world we live in... like a wise man once stated,  Wisemen calculate every move where fools trend without thought!!

Open letter to Members of Parliament

Dear Honourable Members,

As you deliberate the changes to the constitution, I request each of you to use reason and conscience above emotion and sycophancy.
Uganda today stands at a crossroads. You are all charged with the sacred duty on behalf of the nation to vote to either move the nation forward with democratic fervor or let it continue its present slide back into the abyss of dictatorship characterized and intertwined with personal cultism.
Is it not a shame in the first place that we are debating the removal of presidential term limits when it has not been tested?

All and sundry know that one of Uganda's (as identified in the constitutional making process) and Africa's endemic political problem has been and remains the fallacy by rulers of the day that they and only them or their family have the divine right to rule perpetually.

I do not have anything against Mr. Museveni and judge him to have performed a lot better than his predecessors. But a constitution is sacrosanct and should never be changed to suit the whims of one individual. Presidential term limits in Africa are a remedy to this incessant greed for power.

We should grow out of portentous culture where the leaders make ruling a life-long career - as if to them there is no life out of political power.
Uganda is a young nation but strewn with a very sordid political past.
We have been blessed that inspite of the continuos political upheavals, Uganda has not yet disintegrated into a failed state. We have had opportunities in the past to address and redress this issue but have on all occasions, let the opportunity pass. Opportunity does not knock many times.

I call upon you Honorable members, to rise to the occasion, heed the noble call and do what your nation desires of you.
Make yourselves, your children, their offsprings and the nation eternally proud.

To Mr Museveni we say to you, we salute your leadership and the invaluable contribution to the freedom struggle to which you and other like minded Ugandans made (Both fallen and alive).

But to the kisanja project we say an emphatic NO, not because we love you less but we love Uganda more. An individual is mortal and dispensable but a nation is steeped in perpetuity.

Honorable members, the hour of reckoning is at hand; do what is required of you and not what an individual tells you is required of you.
