Adjumani district leaders have criticised their counterparts in Acholi for wanting the International Criminal Court to suspend the prosecution of top LRA commanders, before seeking their views.
They were meeting the Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Katumba Wamala, at the Adjumani district headquarters on Friday.

They warned the Acholi against assuming that all affected by the rebels would pardon them.
LC3 chairpersons, sub-county chiefs, traditional and religious leaders, civil servants and the public attended.
They said Acholi leaders should have consulted them before embarking on a trip to The Hague, because Adjumani, had also suffered LRA atrocities for over 19 years.
The LC3 chairman Dzaipi sub-county, Loka Festo, said 15,000 out of over 54,000 in his area had been displaced as a result of LRA attacks in the district.
|
He said the LRA had also started mutilating civilians in his sub-county. He cited the March 10 attack where they chopped off the lips, ears and nose of Ben Nyadru, 18, before shooting him dead.
"They got a two-year-old child and hit her head on the wall because she was crying as they hacked her parents," Loka said.
