If that's what matters in the first place - satisfying the audience - are we
then surprised nothing is changing for the better in Nigeria?

And when will he begin to have answers that will satisfy the Nigerian
populace, and not just his audience?

  prepared lecture

  Dear Ndubisi Obiorah,

Yes, many participants raised their hands to
individually bombard the President with questions, but
the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth who
  moderated allowed only four questions.

Nonetheless, if my observation were anything to depend
on, permit me to say that Obasanjo could have
adequately addressed any question - no matter how
difficult and embarrassing - including the type that
you pose below, and wriggle out of its complexity. You
may personally leave the hall unsatisfied, but
adequate answer to satisfy the audience arising from
your question, he would give. And since you cannot go
into a dialogue with him, you will finally leave the
hall with what he gives to you.

Frankly speaking, I saw the man as very skilled in the
art of answering impromptu questions - no matter how
difficult, to satisfy the audience. Which of course
  matters in the first place.

  Remain blessed.
