The Minister of State for Defence, Ms Ruth Nankabirwa, has said some NGO workers give logistical support to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels.
She did not mention names nor the organisations they work for.
"Some NGO employees sneak into the bush and supply or make contacts with the LRA without informing government officials," she said.
She was addressing university students from Canada and Makerere who had visited the war-torn district at Gulu Support the Children Organisation Centre on Friday. She said the government was aware of the rebel supporters.
So now we have been reduced to this; I hear some Members of International Non-Governmental Organizations are supporting the so called "LRA Rebels".
Ms. Ruth Nankabirwa should tell us which members of the Many NGOs now operating in Northern Uganda , support the so called "LRA Rebels" . Could it be that the NGO are merely trying to supply food items to the many suffering children in Northern Uganda, which the NRM refers to as "Rebels"?. Ms. Nankabirwa stop her none-sense. That fact is that the Regime has fail , and failed miserably to protect the people of Uganda form wars generated and perpetuated by the NRM military dictatorship in Northern Uganda. Instead the regime is now engaged in propaganda moves to win favors. Ms. Ruth you need to shut up..Your rhetoric make some of us rather nostalgic.
