As an adult and an African male, I am, surprisingly, not embarassed to admit that the movie Hotel Rwanda moved me to tears.
When a grown-up man cries, he must of course analyse the cause of it. In my case I believe there were two reasons.
The first tears were of joy, brought on by a realisation that of all the foreign nations that could have done something to stop the genocide, only Uganda actually did something significant, by quietly providing support to the RPF.
The second set of tears were of sorrow, brought on by a realisation that the we don't seem to have learnt anything from the genocide. We are still as intolerant as ever, we are still prone to stoking up ethnic division, even in Uganda.
Those who do not study history well, are doomed to repeat it.

Mr. John Katende:
I can see you are totally a confused man. The genocide in Rwanda happened precisely BECAUSE of the attack launched from Uganda ( at the instigation of Great Britain ) by Yoweri Museveni's NRA and Kagame's RPA on the sovereign nation of Rwanda. Uganda/Britain and RPA created the genocide in Rwanda. Any other assertions , is rather revisionist in nature. and can only be seen as that of an apologist to Museveni /Kagame.
