| IGANGA - The Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) has registered about 10,000 members in the district. We have been writing their names in exercise books and the exercise will continue throughout the district, the UPC District Organising Chairman, Mr Dalausi Kakaire, told The Monitor on Monday. He said the registration was going on in all counties. He said most members were registered in Bugweri, Busiki and Luuka counties. Kakaire said the district committee was also identifying popular UPC members who could contest in next years general elections. We want to revamp support at all levels in the district and the five constituencies including that for the woman MP, he said. He said they were yet to issue party cards. |
