OPPOSITION MPs have vowed not to participate in the referendum, saying it is a wastage of resources and time.
MPs interviewed yesterday said whether they voted or not, the Government was already committed to a 'Yes', rendering the outcome immaterial.
FDC's Salaamu Musumba (Bugabula South) said, "I am not going to vote. I will either watch TV or go out with my children. The referendum doesn't affect me and is of no consequence. So I will just wait for what government is going to do with the results."
Abdu Katuntu (Bugweri) said he would not vote and has already mobilised his constituency not to vote because the whole thing (referendum) is confusing.
"The Movement is the house and at the same time the tree. If I vote, I will be voting for the Movement," he said.
Aggrey Awori (Samia Bugwe North) said he had not even gone back to his constituency to mobilise people for the voting, saying whether they voted or not, it would not make any impact.

Dr. Francis Epetait (Ngora) said the referendum was useless.
Johnson Nkuuhe (Isingiro South) said though the referendum was useless, he would vote.
