I recieved the following message:

"Anyway,  Peter was the first person to talk about Uganda and the "aids epidemic" without prejudice.  Peter was the narrator of Philly Lutaya's documentary that was done on Public Television and supported by ABC here in USA.  It was such a well done documentary..........I will never forget it.

Peter talked about Uganda in such a way that was never before portrayed by the West.  He was very compassionate.  He talked of "this Pearl of Africa which has seen and had enough attrocities dating way back from the "scramble for Africa" to the days of a man called Amin.  Peter Jennings should be mourned by the Baganda because in this documentary he brought to the world, the history, the politics and the then glamour of Buganda and the Baganda..........the rampage poverty that enforced itself on "this otherwise Great Kingdom".
