Yes, there is freedom and there is freedom.

Freedom of the oppressed, freedom of the oppressor, freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, freedom of press, freedom of association, freedom of the mind, freedom of the individual, freedom of sovereignty, freedom of the state, freedom of the government, freedom of freedom.........
But do we all agree to agree that we are talking about the same freedom?!

To me, the sensation seeker radio talk show celebrity was not sensational this time. What is sensational on the contrary, is the stupendously bogus and obscure exhibition of naivety in his interpretation / perception of freedom that otherwise is not expected of a mass-medial celebrity of his calibre.

It si not un usual that celebrities get carried away. I think Andrew got lifted this time around. I am particularly thinking about: ".....Do you know that your government (or president) has no right to.....". This is rather strange coming only after days when toy Blair and the British parliament changed the rules of the game. When citizenship can be withdrawn, press censorship and freedom of the individual defines from the "country's best" perspective?!

It is very usual that governments disband dissidents that are deemed armful to the country's interests.

However, the order of approach may differ. In actual case, probably the best way to attack would have been to amend the laws regulating those freedoms before chopping.
