Subject: [FedsNet] BRIEF STATEMENT BY SMART MUSOLIN (ENTEBBE, UGANDA)
Sent: Thursday, September 8, 2005 3:33 PM
I have seen the UGANDA OBSERVER of 08th September 05
reports that the Uganda security agencies are seeking
my apprehension on orders of President Yoweri
Museveni. Understandably, I could be charged for
breaching Uganda’s penal code in publishing facts
about Museveni.

Please note that I strongly reaffirm my published
documents as accurate, authentic and verifiable.
Museveni’s panic interests me and raises three
questions;
1.      Would Museveni have reacted with similar harsh
militarist threats if I had published similar facts
about Eriya Kategaya, Gilbert Bukenya, Kabaka Mutebi
or even Kizza Besigye?
2.      Why can’t Museveni rebuff my documents and
photographic evidence of his family instead of looking
for me? Isn’t it because he just can’t rebuff my
evidence?
3.      Why has Museveni conducted discreet surveillance on
his wife Ja net and the Brig. Henry Tumukunde’s family
over the past two weeks?
4.      Why did Museveni suggested this week to his top
security team that he now suspects Jim Muhwezi as part
of an inside clandestine ring plotting to bring down
NRM government?

I wish the police all luck in their duties but
re-affirm that the public have a right to know about
the infringing lifestyles of their leaders. M7 has a
constitutional duty to behave decently as basis for
entrusting him with leadership. His acute matrimonial
infidelity, thieving of public resources, mass murder
and other vices are fundamental breaches of the public
trust in his leadership. I shall continue to provide
such accurate information without fear or favour.
Museveni can only hide but cannot run away from the
long arms of my investigations. I can only sustain the
effort to smoke him out of office.
