That is why there is a thing called a pooling, let us ask those who feel that if you kill Africans you are a strange person and not a murderer.

And I will leave it at that.

What is more offensive to me is the immaturity with which criticisms are received and the putrid attacks and curses heaped upon opponents.
Debate the issues without these abuses so that we can extract the values of the points presented. There will always be two or more camps in any political discussion; allowing our egos to overcome our considered opinions robs us of any credibility we bring to the debate.

Peace.

If Jean Sardanne and James Ololo are truly representative of the majority Africans we have on the forum Mwananchi, then I frankly do not belong here. I consider the views expressed by both these gentlemen as presented in their postings below, nauseating and too self-abasing, an attitude that is rarely encountered among Africans in circles where I interact.

Besides, I have INCONTROVERTIBLE PROOF that my postings are being CENSORED. Two postings of mine from yesterday were delayed several hours – after other forums had posted them immediately I sent them – specifically the reports on the religious and ethnic (tribal) riots of last Saturday in Belfast.

One posting of mine criticizing Chifu wa Malindi  (titled: The Man Who Betrayed the Poor”), in response to his own comments attacking the ‘African Warrior’, was suppressed altogether, and never posted on Mwananchi - though three forums posted it.

If that is not CENSORSHIP, then I do not know what is censorship. And I challenge Ndugu Chifu wa Malindi to deny my allegations of censorship.

The above are grounds enough for me to self-unsubscribe from Mwananchi. It has been a pleasure meeting and interacting with most of you, and I am sure our paths will cross again.

Like I said, this is frankly not the Africa and not the Africans with whom I feel comfortable – the Chifu wa Malindis, the George Ayitteys, the James Ololos, the “Clarence Kamaras”, the Jean Sardanes – these are not my kind of Africans, even when I grant them their God-given right to be the way they are, a right I am also willing to respect, since they cannot help being the way they are.

And without any personal animosity, I wish them all the best. I only wish they would learn to be equally accommodating of the views of fellow Africans who may have reasons to disagree with them. It would appear it is easier for these gentlemen to tolerate European views, since one of them admits openly that “I may not like all what you are saying, and in this case we will debate.” (Jean Sardane)

However, Africans who disagree with Patricia Anderson and her cohorts are seen as “this little group of bullies and abusers…attempting to highjack the forum and to silence any dissenting voice. They are a symptom of the disease affecting nascent African democracies.”

But then, maybe we are not “typical Africans” – as their British mentor has assured them. These staunch African defenders of Europeans and their interests in Africa against fellow Africans may truly be the way of the future…

But have not been down this road before?

Val Ojo

P.S. James Ololo, the postings which you thought were a signal of my return to Mwananchi were sent merely to prove a point to myself: that my postings to Mwananchi are being censored – and I seriously recent that.

Mwananchi may of course not post this.

Subject: [Mwananchi] About Pestilence

Jean,

I have just read comments by the self acclaimed
African warrior. These comments should be acted on as
clearly stipulated by laws governing our forum and the
entire Internet Community.

I categorically ask Chifu and other moderators to
unsubscribe this stupid and uncivilized burukenge
calling himself African warrior out of our forum and
probably report him to the authorities.

In seeking the liberation of our people and elevating
ourselves to higher economic grounds, we must keep
discipline and maintain to uproot disciples of the
devil, people who's main agenda is to create a wedge
between us and the rest of humanity.

Jean, I therefore support your stand and I too will be
more vigilant on these silly racists and give them
what they deserve.

For Pat,
You are a sister and and be rest assured that your
presence on this forum is highly appreciated and we
shall defend you, with whichever means possible. In
fact, these racists are only using your name, to get
to your friend and owner of this forum Chifu, because
they know this is how to get him hurt. They're jealous
of Chifu because they cannot set up a working forum
for themselves.
