When you see Ugandans electing Ssebagala, a
convicted criminal, give up on that country for it means that Ugandans just do
not care about moving their nation ahead, but they want any one who can help
society to loot as much as they can. Most of Ugandans I asked why they were
going to vote for Museveni, responded uniformly. Omusajja atulesse netukola
ssente zaffe. And when you look carefully, no one is complaining about lets us
say load shedding because when they loot from the money the government borrows
from World Bank they buy stand-by generators, so the Ugandan who can not steal
becomes a Correrterall damage. And the nation keeps on going back ward and back
ward.
Picture Ssebagala as a Kampala mayor, being a
criminal he will never get a visa to any Western nation especially United States
which convicted and sentenced him to jail. So the apathy question becomes very
simple, does a Ugandan voting for him today even worry about that situation? Or
better yet is that Ugandan even bright enough to know how costly it is to
Kampala to elect a mayor who cannot travel? But before you crack up your head
with such silly questions, as by a Ugandan standard, ask your self, as
City mayors are traveling and raising monies for their cities how many trips
does a Kampala mayor make? How many cities are so far twinned with Kampala? How
many exchange programs does Kampala as a city have with other cities? You know
you chat with Ugandans in Uganda chatting forums and the best he/she tells you
"Munange leka male okugenda okulya akatogo nkomewo twogere" And that is the best
you get out there, call me a condescending all you want, but this is the
best Mayor we can get for the city !!!!!!!!!
The world has become a very little village and we
survive because we have vibrant leaders whether nationally or municipally. We
cannot have a man who cannot travel as a mayor. But when you think about it on a
great deal, Kampala City council depends on government hand outs, I would even
be surprised if they have even a White paper for Kampala. So you end up with a
city feeding on the state 100%, a city located in Buganda, with a Kingdom that
feeds on a state 100%, in a nation with a government that runs on an annual
budget it can only finance about 35%
It all stinks to high heavens indeed
