PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has warned FDC leaders against sabotaging government plans to restructure and rehabilitate the north, saying culprits would be jailed.
Museveni said he had received reports that FDC leaders were telling people in the IDP camps to use the iron-sheets given to them by the government to make doors.
"They (FDC) wanted the people to make doors out of the mabati I sent to Lango and Teso. If anybody does that, he will end up in Luzira Prison," Museveni warned.
He attacked the FDC leaders for telling lies to the people of northern Uganda during the election campaign that they had defeated the NRM government. He singled out MP Reagan Okumu (Aswa) and other FDC bigwigs in the region.
"I kept hearing people like Reagan Okumu and others telling you lies that they will send you back home if they win the concluded election. They have been telling a lot of goba (lies). This type of lies is an insult and it irritates me," Museveni said.

The meeting that started at 4:50pm was held in shifts, with journali
sts from
Lango and Acholi region attending first, followed by Teso and West Nile regions respectively.
"When I hear lies that Museveni has already been defeated in the whole of Uganda, it reminds me of the lies I saw in 1972 when we were fighting the dictatorship of Idi Amin. The northerners lied and many of us were killed when we attacked Kakoba," he added.
