Meanwhile, some Politically Naive Ugandans have pinned their hope for a better Uganda on Dr. Bwesigye and his FDC . This individually , naively if I might say so, do not seem to realize that Dr. Bwesigye is pretty much done.
Many observers, political observers of the Ugandan Political scene that is, have long concluded that Dr. Bwesigye is pretty much a burnt shell.. the man is gone.. he is only waiting to be locked up in Luzira ..for lets say 20 years.! I bet 100 dollars US that Dr. Bwesigye will be found guilty sentence to Luzira Prison!!

Every effort should be used to bring a fundamental change in the war-torn north, the head of the European Union in Uganda has said.
Sigurd Illing said while other districts have seen an upsurge of economic activity, some in West Nile, Acholi, Lango, Teso and
Karamoja have borne the brunt of violence and insecurity, which have undermined economic growth.
He said the Acholi live in a deplorable situation in "quite unacceptable conditions." He, however, said events of the recent past showed tapering of the suffering.
Illing was speaking at the EU Day at his residence in Kololo on May 9. "It's my impression that we are about to enter into a phase that should make fundamental changes possible. It appears that support of Kony and his murderous rebels from outside is ceasing, while international attention for the plight of the Acholi people has remained unprecedentedly high," Illing said.
Foreign affairs minister Sam Kuteesa represented government. Ministers, MPs and EU envoys attended the function.
