June 04, 2006: Kofi Annan Delaying UN Security Council Action on Northern Uganda
by: Peter
In January, the UN Security Council passed Resolution 1653, condemning LRA attacks and asking the UN Secretary-General to make recommendations on how the Council might address the crisis. Five months later, Secretary-General Kofi Annan has yet to present any such recommendations, an unusual delay for such matters. Uganda-CAN urges the Secretary-General to take leadership for addressing this crisis
that is not only a threat to regional peace and security, but a killer of 1,000 people each week.
May be Kofi Annan, has no "recommendations" so to speak, which he can present before members of teh International Commuinty and the world on how to resolve the Museveni created crises in Northern and Eastern Uganda!..otr may be the bloody brits are pulling yet another string from behind the scene on Anann such that he should do nothing.
