At this moment when the organization is calling for some tested leadership, Mr. Kimbugwe has shied away from that responsibility and conspired with Edward Wanda to fool Ugandans. Mr. Kimbugwe asserts that decisions are made by members of UNAA who live here in the US, then why do we have NRM operatives getting directives from the Ugandan NRM government to do damage control for fear of Uganda being portrayed by its true colors by the opponents in New York?   A good Muslim could come out and tell the truth regardless of how soar it is. Mr. Kimbugwe has failed to meet that test instead he has started lying to the membership. In his heart he knows that things in New York are not going well, there are factions fighting each other, then after all that, Mr. Kimbugwe had a nerve to come out and deliberately lie to the membership. President Kimbugwe tells us that he has been attending the meetings in New York, when did this fake man attend the meetings in New York and how many times has he been there? He is so plastic that it is not even funny, but just makes me sick.   LEADERSHIP: I want to call on all Ugandan that if you are not aware of what problem we have in UNAA, it is Mr. Kimbugwe’s leadership. He allowed NRM operatives highjack our organization and turn it into an NRM mouth piece. Remember that one of the low profile spies chasing some deals from the State House in Uganda, Ms. Rosette Sserwanga has confused Mr. Kimbugwe by taking him to Museveni. Any reasonable person would agree that UNAA President should be able to meet the Ugandan President but remember that we are dealing with people who are not normal, we are dealing with thieves like Conman Wanda, spy man Ed Kironde and a selfish   Museveni   intoxicated with power.   I want to ask Mr. Kimbugwe and I need some answers. I do not want to hear his mambo jumbo of the EEOC, equal opportunity because we are not looking for jobs and we are not filing law suites for discrimination.   Mr. Kimbugwe tells us that he has been in the meetings in New York then how did it happen that almost a week ago there are no rooms for the group package? Why do we have to pay over ($450.00 + tax) a night to get a room at the hotel? Is Mr. Kimbugwe aware of this or was he in the meeting to approve such a deal? Are the organizers taking us for a ride or this is a conspiracy by the Conman and the rest of the group to make money on the backs Ugandans. Mr. Kimbugwe through his rhetoric also tells us that no person’s right can be violated in the US, what rights is Mr. Kimbugwe talking about? A person in the US illegally is already in violation of the Homeland Security laws, so what leg has that person got to stand on to claim his/ her rights being violated and how can Kimbugwe’s presidency override the Homeland security laws? Being an illegal immigrant is not of the protected class.   NRM THIEVES IN NEW YORK: Let us put this straight the NRM thieves in New York are now telling people that it is because people have registered and overbooked the hotel that is a lie. Some of us  know that labor day weekend, is one of the hardest to get lodging in New York, it has  nothing to do with the UNAA convention. It will be naive for anyone to believe that the hotel is full because of UNA convention registrants. The organizing committee neglected their responsibility of looking out for the members and instead pushed for NRM propaganda. My inquiry revealed that few rooms were negotiated as a group package, says Marriot. Why are these crooks using the hotel occupancy to bluff the members? That goes to their lack of credibility and shows what type of people we are dealing with! They can’t tell the truth, all they are doing is dubious deals and sticking it to the members. They have left the members vulnerable.    THALMA BYENKYA: If Thalma Byenkya is being paid for the good job she has done, what job is that? The hotel is expensive more than any amount any person has ever paid in the last 17 years. We have not received any flyers. If   Kimbugwe has been attending meetings in New York, did he know that they had not negotiated enough rooms and now why are they lying to us that very many members have registered. How can they tell us that the closing date for registration is August 15, 2006 and before that closing date as early as July 31, 2006 we can not secure a room at the negotiated price of ($ 199.00) It costs ($ 1,350.00 ++) for a stay. It is the first convention committee to act so irresponsibly in the history of  UNAA’s  tenure.   ED KIRONDE: I just can not help it finishing my thought to the Ugandans without exposing the slick man Ed Kironde. Remember he is always on the attack. Kironde I know you are busy trying to deflect the issue, but we need to know about your spying activities. Do not confuse us with the NRM propaganda in California, that launching was a disaster. All the African leaders were ambushed. The usual character Abby Walusimbi did what he does best manipulate people, he invited them under the pretence of holding an economic conference and they found themselves listening to NRM rhetoric. The Kenyan officials, and its government was upset, the Congresswoman did not take it light either she did distanced herself away from the NRM, denying any endorsement of the NRM function. During the radio interview the Congresswoman stressed that she was there for economic purposes. She was not prepared to take a fall for the NRM, for violating the US house rules and regulations. Just like any other African officials invited they were upset. what happened to ambassador, Edith Sempala? She sounded stupid when she said that there was no poverty in Uganda. The NRM government did not take the comments lightly either, she was booted out of Washington to Ethiopia.    ANNE MUGISHA: I am surprised that Mr. Kironde is taking as back to the past California events, to distruct us from discussing current issues. I also want to remind Mr. Kironde that cheap shots at Anne Mugisha will not help. The iron lady is highly educated, can’t be bought, and always telling the truth. Mr. Kironde, Anne is not your Match, my advice to you is to start giving her the due respect she deserves as an upper level JD (LLM) and address her as DR. Mugisha.   BOYCOT: My last thought is to caution those who will be taking the task of organizing next year’s convention to keep partisan politics out in the smooth running of our organization. Since we are not getting a clear answer except lies, I would ask the members to demand Mr. Wanda be relieved of his function, ask Kimbugwe and his board step down pending an investigation of his lies he presented to the membership. The leadership needs to be held accountable to its membership. That is the only way forward we do not need to behave like the NRM government that rewards failure and holds no one accountable. I would also suggest that we boycott this convention, but let me leave that to individuals.      Rose Tumusiime
