The president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, says the promise of
peace will allow all Ugandans to benefit from the social, economic and political progress his government has fostered over the past two decades. He accuses critics like Olara Otunnu, former United Nations Under Secretary-General and Special Representative for Children and Violence, of backing failed genocidal regimes. Otunnu says it is Museveni's policies in northern Uganda that have perpetrated genocide and that claims of economic development and social progress are unfounded.
What do you think? Have you experienced the situation in northern Uganda? What is the way forward?
comment!
Mr. Olara otunnu is absolutely right in stating, as he did, that it is Dictator Yoweri Museveni's war mongering policies in Northern and Eastern Uganda for the past 20 years , which has now created the predicament in Northern and
Eastern Uganda; whereby people close 2 Million Acholi /langi and ateso must live and have been living in Nazi like concentration camps.
Members of the International Community lead by the big powers MUST take note of this fact. For ages we have been shouting that western Nations lead by the United States and Britain MUST change their policies of blindly supporting Yoweri Museveni Military dictatorship.. did they listen ..hell no!!!
20 years later reality, as in the pathetic situations Northern Ugandans Must now live in , is hitting them smack on the face!!!
Resolving..rather addressing the situation in which dictator Yoweri Museveni has dragged the people of Uganda and the Great lakes Region of Africa , calls for
a sober anaylsis by members of the International Community and Ugandans of the situation in Uganda with a clear goal to try and address the issue at hand!!
NRM propaganda , however much it is propagated will NOT repeat will NOT resolve or bring about peace in Northern and Eastern Uganda.
