Surely the actions ,noted below, undertaken by the two Canadian Musicians, is noble indeed. It is a mark of true friendship between Canadian Citizens and poor suffering oppressed subjugated people of Northern Uganda. In solidarity both Ms. Sarah and Ms. Chantel have decided to stand shoulder to shoulder with the suffering masses in Uganda.

Two Canadian music stars have become the latest celebrities to join the campaign on the plight of children in the war-ravaged northern Uganda.
According to a September 16 press statement from the GuluWalk initiative, Ms Sarah McLachlan, a three-time Grammy Award winner, signed up as number 560 while Ms Chantal Kreviazuk signed up as number 616.
The campaign dubbed GuluWalk is an initiative of two Canadians, Adrian Bradbury and Kieran Hayward to raise awareness and support for the war-affected children.
Other celebrities, who have signed to take part in the worldwide GuluWalk on October 21, are NBA basketball star Steve Nash and US-based Ugandan boxer, Kassim Ouma.
"I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn about what is happening to the children in northern Uganda," McLachlan said.
"GuluWalk is shining a much needed light on their struggles, offering us all a way to give hope to the innocent children there. I urge everyone who can to please sign up. Together, we can make a difference."
With over 22 million records sold since the beginning of her career in 1988, McLachlan continues to impact the lives of others through her music and projects like Lilith Fair and the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach programme.
Kreviazuk said over the years, her plan was to help children in northern Uganda.
"Since the very first moment I heard about the horrors that the children in northern Uganda were living, I've wanted to do anything possible for this ignored international emergency," Kreviazuk said.
"I'm still shocked and horrified by their stories, but so inspired by the mission of GuluWalk to help these children find hope, as well as a chance at a future. The same future that every child on this planet deserves." The walk is seeking to raise $1 million to support education, rehabilitation
and youth programmes for children.
The first GuluWalk in October 2005 attracted 40 cities and collected $40,000
