Dear Duggan,
Sorry I have not been successful in opening your attachment but I was intrigued about this project on the topology of road networks linking Africa's capitals.
There are some Pan-Africanists comrades in South Africa who also, for some time, have set their minds on this very concept of a revolutionary African transportation and communications network. Indeed we don't have to wait for the slave master to do this, for if he ever does he will always skew it to his interests.
Classical Greece and Italy, and imperialist England are islands and because the energy expenditure over water was/is so cheap, they were able to establish early far flung routes for conquest, pillage and plunder.
The energy expenditure to move over land, say from Lagos to Nairobi, is so prohibitive that to this day Africa has to still come up with a solution.
I imagine you may want to link up with these compatriots in Azania. i.e.
All the best !!

Have you seen the new World Bank report that was released during the recent US-Africa Infrastructure Conference in Bethesda, Maryland? Authors are Buys, Deichmann and Wheeler of the Development Research Group -- they propose linking all 42 mainland capitals plus 41 other cities with upgraded highways at a cost over 15 years of US$35 billion (including maintenance) ...I have seen almost nothing in print about this, so I thought you might be interested.....Duggan FlanakinCommittee For A Constructive TomorrowAustin, Texas USA(our HQ is in Washington DC; our principals will be in Kenya and Uganda in November)
