ARMY prosecutors have filed an application for a warrant of arrest for Lt. Col. Fearless Obwoya, in the General Court Martial, Maurice Okore reports.
Obwoya is the commander of the Karamoja Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU).
He and Capt. Lusian Baluku, the ASTU intelligence officer and Lt. Ronnie Lwanga, the paymaster, are wanted by the army for failure to turn up before the court chaired by Lt. Gen. Ivan Koreta for trial.
The three soldiers are accused of embezzling sh462m between February 2000 and March 2001.
Since they were bailed in 2001, they have not appeared in court.
