The fact is that Museveni and the NRM Military dictatorship continues to butcher our people, lie about the number of people IT"S KILLING MACHINE THE UPDF has killed, only for members of the International community to believe continue to believe in Museveni's UPDF lies. I once stated here that Ugandans from Northern and Eastern Uganda DO NOT BLEED MILK.... For twenty years the regime has been killing the people of Uganda. For twenty years members of the International Community have acted as surrogates in a move to protect the NRM Military dictatorship. Museveni's atrocities against the people of Uganda is simply ignored..explain away. Instead the so called rebels are held to account in what many have referred to as a twisted version of justice... WELL we are tired...NO more of this crap. It may be your wish that the people of Uganda remain as Museveni's slaves, to be abused, tortured, dehumanized..e.t.c....but how can it be our wish
that we become and remain slaves of the Tustis in Uganda !

UN reports 'significant' deaths in northeast Uganda unrest
39 minutes ago
KAMPALA (AFP) - The United Nations said it had seen "evidence of significant loss of life" in recent violence between the army and tribal warriors in Uganda's restive northeast and appealed for calm. Expressing deep concern about developments in the Karamoja region, the UN humanitarian coordinator for Uganda,
Theophane Nikyema, said an assessment team sent to the area had been "disturbed" by its findings.
"The United Nations in Uganda expresses grave concern about the escalating violence and consequent loss of life, property and human dignity in Kotido District since October 29, 2006," he said in statement.
"The team observed evidence of significant loss of life and property, including food reserves in villages we have been to and surrounding the parish of Lopuyo," Nikyema said, adding that at least 2,000 people had fled the area.
The statement did not give an estimated death count but suggested the official government toll of 39 from clashes and bombing raids that began on October 29 may be low.
The army says 12 people were killed in November 4 bombings around Kotido while community leaders have told AFP as many as 500 people may have died when troops allegedly rampaged through the area.
The bombing came after
Karamojong tribal warriors allegedly attempted to shoot down a military helicopter in retaliation for an initial clash in on October 29 in which the government said 27 people, including 16 soldiers, died.
The fighting has erupted as the military attempts to pacify the remote region, long known as a haven for banditry and cattle rustling, with a forceful disarmament campaign that the Karomoja are resisting.
On Wednesday, Uganda's deputy defense minister said the Karamojong had become an increasingly unified force with a command and control structure that was leading to deadly results that verged on war.
In the UN statement, Nikyema said the assessment team had heard multiple allegations of serious human rights abuses committed by all sides and was concerned that there appeared to be no effort to reconcile the warring parties.
"The team was disturbed by the apparent lack of reconciliatory or confidence building initiatives
being undertaken to avoid future such incidents," he said, adding that changes should be considered to the disarmament campaign.
He also urged Ugandan authorities to ensure the safety of civilians around Kotido, about 600 kilometers (370 miles) northeast of Kampala, and called on the pastoralist Karamojong community to refrain from violence.
The Karamojong blame the government for leaving them defenseless against armed rival tribes, specifically those in neighboring Kenya and Sudan, who stage frequent cross-border cattle raids.
At the same time, they accuse the army of torture and rape, accusations that government officials say have been and will be investigated with any perpetrator punished accordingly.
Karamoja is the least developed area of Uganda and its residents, mainly the Karamojong, have a history of belligerence with Kampala because of their way of life and the importance they attach to cattle ownership.
The region is Uganda's remotest and least policed and so as longstanding rivalries have grown more deadly with an influx of automatic weapons, the frequent cattle raids of the past have grown more and more deadly.
