  Stanbic Bank responds
We thank Mr Ibrahim Idriss Sengendo of Iganga and Mr Henry Wakowu of Koboko
for their letters to the editor regarding Stanbic Bank services. Mr Sengendo
requests us to sensitise our customers on ATM usage at Iganga branch and Mr
Wakowu is unhappy with our foreign exchange (forex) services in Koboko. We
would like to respond as follows:

New ATM customers. We are happy to advise that all our new customers who get
ATM cards are given an instruction booklet with guidelines on how to use our
Auto Bank machines now numbering 116 countrywide. In addition we have stationed
an ATM demonstrator in Iganga branch and other key branches to specifically
assist customers who are not yet familiar with the operation of the ATM
machines.

Forex services at Koboko branch. Stanbic Bank offers foreign currency
transactions at Koboko Branch and we charge a premium for over the counter
transactions by non-customers.

We however would like to invite Mr Wakou to contact our Koboko Branch to open
an account which will facilitate his foreign exchange transactions. Forex rates
offered at Koboko. All our branches apply uniform forex rates which are updated
on a daily basis.
