Mitayo,

You probably need to give Ugandans a break here, and leave the transformation
to take shape instead of meandering on the path.

The NRA/M war of 1980 to 1986 was not Dr. Besigye's call to arms; it was
Mu7's call!! That Dr. Besigye joined, just like many other Ugandans joined,
including even after the war, like the late Omwony Ojok, cannot and should be a
stumbling block on Ugandans' drive for political change. After all FDC is not
fighting the BANYANYAS, or UPC "Killers" (who "They, killed us)"![President
Yoweri Museveni].

FDC is fighting bad governance, and there is absolutely no mentioned of any
tribe or group of people(Ugandans), as singled out, in their tussle to see
political transformation ushered in. This means if FDC comes to power, people
like me and you who are looking toward freeing our nation from the grip of
imperialism shall be able to have a chance to contribute in shaping the future
of Uganda.

It has been 20+ years that the NRA/M has been in power. What have you and me
done so far to move the NRA/M off power in the country, knowing fully what they
have been doing for the last two decades? Absolutely nothing!!

I seriously don't think Ugandans who yawn for change really enjoy our useless
critiques of all organisations and parties that are trying to shape the future
of our country.

Alternatively, if all these parties have members who are criminals for they
were in the NRA/M, UPC, or even Kony's LRA/M, then why don't you as a rabid
critic of these parties and the individuals in it, come up with something that
you feel is a clean slate for Ugandans to start from?

Mere pontificating about fighting imperialism when we do not even have
anywhere to start from, is pure ignorance!! Even Hitler had who eventually
ended up slaughtering millions, had to start from somewher, to be able to climb
the ladder to get to where he got, presiding over the slaughter of six million
Jews! Who said once FDC comes to power, you and someone like me will
automatically be barred from even going to Uganda, leave alone choosing to go
join them?

When Mu7 came to pwer, the line was already drawn and people he wanted in
power were already chosen by virtue of his rabid hate against Northerners and
Easterners!! What followed therefore is what we see today, the slaughter of
thousand upon thousand Ugandans!!

In the North and East, millions have been in camps for over ten years now.
What effects have the camps have on these people, economically, socially,
politically, morally, you name it??

Mitayo, to think that one can fight imperialism without even beginning from
somewhere is merely idiocy! FDC is providing a perfect window to address the
question of political and economic criminality in the country. And for those
looking into having a foothold in the new Uganda politics, I say this is the
party and time. 21 years is enough time wasted on talking shops!!

If and when FDC comes to power, trust me we shall have a voice, and I highly
doubt Dr. Besigye will ignore. So stop forthwith, puerile politics and
cowardise. Either get on the bus, or simply sit and wait. Uganda need must be
moved forward, first by booting out the NRA/M. And Dr. Besigye is employing the
right strategies to achieve this goal.

    Brother Ochan Otim,

Thank you for re-exposing (reminding us of) these most heinous crimes !!

But all these crimes in Acholi took place when Kiiza-Besigye, Anne Mugisha,
Ruzindana, General Muntu, Nuwa-Mushega, Njuba etc... were still NRM. (Assuming
they left m7; for we see Mugisha-Muntu denouncing m7 during the day but at
night he and Kategaya sit stealthily at his dinner table).

They were then singing and shouting themselves insane in praise of Museveni.

Dr Munini-Mulera admits this much about their camp in this week's Tingasanga
article.

Contrary to FDC claims today, Museveni always has been an evil monster !!
I'd rather "respect" his consistency than the new critics.

Claims that he just became rotten while in office are disingenuous lies.

And these fellows and m7 are still fellow travellers; and both hoist Kony as
their straw-man to mask their crimes !!

Long before Kony, it is these same fellows who were sodomising Acholis.
Simsim was being stolen. Granaries were being set on fire. Cattle and
everything of value were being stolen.

How can we forget the heaps of dead bodies over which m7 used to stand and
boast: "We massacred them" !!

The humanity of the Acholi was being denied !! (Biological substances,
"busolo" , etc...)

Don't assume that the new critics abandoned Museveni, on principle. It is
most probably envy. Today, they all would rush to help the white man in
exterminating us for our land and natural resources !! They don't even hide
this !! What with their hobnobbing with Kagame- the other imperialists'
running dog. We would be nuts to shallow their lies.

Our biggest mistake has been us running away from Uganda into exile rather
than forgetting our petty differences and putting our lives on the line,
hitting these imperialism's running dogs, together with their masters.

There is no alternative if we are to avoid extinction !!

We just have to see how they have wiped out the "Red Indians" of North and
South America, Africans who used to be in the Southern half of Namibia or the
Western Cape Province of South Africa !!

We are dealing with a global conspiracy to wipe us off the face of the earth
!! We have to fight back. Meekness is surrender !!

  Mitayo Potosi
  ======================

But of course these Museveni/Kagame/Muntu mercenaries are just agents in a
bigger White mans scheme to wipe the black man off the face of the earth. Ask
the "Red Indian" of North and South America !!!

The first RDC Kinyera P Atingo was transfered from Gulu to Masindi
because of his attempts to prevent crimes against humanity committed by NRA in
Gulu. While in Masindi he tried to block looted property from going to West
Uganda (Perhaps Mbarara, Nyabushozi) via Masindi, hence lost his job. By then
Kony was no where in the scene. Below are some examples to show you that the
absence of Kony would not make a difference.

  LOOTING OF ACHOLI WEALTH
In June 1987, 315 heads of cattle owned by Aldo Okello aged 58 years of
Pukony Parish, Awach sub-county, Aswa County, were robbed by NRA Commanders and
driven to Gulu Army Barracks. These animals included 260 Borans, 20 Friesans
and 35 local breeds. When Okello realised that the robbery of his cattle had
reduced him to a pauper overnight, he boldly followed his animals to the
Barracks, ready to die rather than live a pauper. He demanded that his cattle
must be released or he should be killed there and then. The commanders who
were petrified by the unusual courage of Aldo Okello argued that they were made
to understand that the animals were being used to feed the rebels. For this
reason they were prepared to give him a certificate to prove that they took the
cattle and the Government would pay him for them when the war ended. Okello
lost his head and began to fight soldiers who were protecting the commanders.
He was arrested and locked up in a cell, having
sustained head injury. On the following morning they released to him only 61
animals out of 315.
In 1987, 1,181 exotic cattle owned by Mzee Adimola, a former Permanent
Secretary, aged 74 years, were robbed by NRA Commanders from his farm in Nwoya.
Also two grinding machines, water pump and tank and all farm machinery were
looted.
On 9,10,1986, 1,253 exotic cattle owned by Onegi Obel, a former Governor of
the Bank of Uganda, including 1,201 Borans, 52 Friesans and also 74 Goats were
robbed by NRA Commanders from his well managed Achwa Ranch, Anaka Sub-County,
Nwoya.
In July 1987, 50 Friesian exotic cattle owned by Nikodemo Okot were robbed
by NRA Commanders from his Dairy Farm at Bwobo Ma Nam, Nwoya County, and taken
across the Nile into Masindi District and beyond.
In August 1986, 557 exotic Boran cattle were robbed from Martin Aboga’s
Ogony Mixed Farm on Gulu-Pakwach Road by the NRA Commanders. They also looted
2 grinding machines and 600 corrugated iron sheets.
In February 1987, 331 heads of cattle owned by Kerobino Uma, a Secondary
Teacher at Sacred Heart Secondary School, Gulu, were robbed by NRA Commanders
from his farm at Agung, Anaka Sub-County. He said it was done by 55th
Battalion who also burnt all farm buildings and looted moveable property.
On the same day over 600 heads of cattle owned by the Late Hon. Y.Y. Ongwen,
MP, were robbed by the same 55th Battalion at his farm, Agung, Anaka
Sub-County.
At about the same time, over 400 heads of cattle â€" Borans â€" owned by
Yovani Ochan were robbed from his farm at Lagaji, Anaka, by NRA Commanders of
55 th Battalion.
In August 1986, 88 exotic cattle owned by Paulinus Nyeko, Headmaster of Gulu
Town Secondary School, were robbed from his Pampala Farm, Agung, Anaka
sub-county by Commanders of 55 th Battalion, NRA, and driven across River Nile.

In 1987, 20 exotic cattle owned by Ojwiya William were robbed by a senior
Army Officer whom he called Paul Kagame from his farm at Angaya, Paicho
sub-county, Aswa.
Chief Reuben Onek’s 20 heads of cattle were robbed by the NRA Commanders
from his farm at Te-Got Opidi, Nwoya County in December 1987.
During the same period very large but unknown number of well bred exotic
cattle were taken from the Government Ranch at Got Apwoyo Ranch on Gulu-Pakwach
Road and driven by the NRA Commanders across River Nile to Masindi District and
beyond.
In Alero Sub-County, Justin Okot Ayere had established a modern Mixed Farm
in which he was grazing a sizeable herd of cattle on one side and was growing
cash crops on the other side. As a far sighted developer, he had constructed
modern farm buildings on the Farm and since there was ample storage facilities,
Okot bought over 500 bags of cement, 1,000 high grade corrugated iron sheets,
many frames of steel doors and windows, high quality pieces of timber, roofing
materials and sanitary fittings, and stored them on the Farm. In that Farm
there were also the usual Farm machinery like tractors, grinding machines and
so on. Xavier Moro who was then a Branch Manager of the Uganda Airlines, based
in Nairobi, was arbitrarily sent away from his office. He returned to Uganda
and proceeded to his brother, Okot's farmhouse. One morning the NRA suddenly
invaded Okot’s farm, arrested Xavier Moro and later killed him in cold blood.
They buried his body in a shallow grave,
which he was forced to dig himself, with feet outside. Thereafter, they
brought lorries and carried all the building materials mentioned above and
other moveable properties away. They also drove all the cattle from the farm
across the Nile
In 1989, more than 1,000 heads of cattle owned by Yosiya Otim of Lukee Clan,
Odek Sub-County, Omoro, were robbed by the NRA Commanders from his cattle ranch
at Kut Luyuru. His elder son, Kitara, who was found looking after the herd
was killed in cold blood.
At Te-Got Ayamo, Odek Sub-County, Omoro over 500 well-bred heads of cattle
owned by the Late Moro Lamailing of Lukee Clan, were robbed by NRA Commanders
in 1989. His son, Mesusera Kidega Opoka, was killed in cold blood.
In 1989, over 200 heads of cattle owned by Simayo Odong II of Lakwana
Sub-County, Omoro County, were robbed by the NRA Commanders.
In 1989, over 300 heads of cattle owned by Eliya Olima of Lagude, Lalogi
Sub-County, were robbed by the NRA Commanders from his homesteads.
In Awach Sub-County, Aswa, over 1000 heads of cattle owned by many peasants
who rear them on communal grazing fields were robbed by the NRA Commanders in
1989. Luciano Lagucu who was the community leader and 13 others were killed
in cold blood for resisting the robbery.

CRIMES AGAINST HUM ANITY BY THE NRA IN GULU DISTRICT

In 1989, 40 civilians were rounded up by NRA and shot dead in cold blood at
Pakwera, Koch Goma. This killing provoked many youths and forced them to join
the rebel war in the bush.
In 1988, 30 innocent civilians were massacred by the NRA at Latoro, Purongo
Sub-County, Nwoya, during the so-called “Operation Cordon and Search†.
In 1988, the entire family of a man named Agoma â€" 16 persons, were rounded
up and locked inside grass thatched huts which were set ablaze by the NRA
Commanders at Yago Pino, Anaka Sub-County, Nwoya.
In 1987, at Lapono village, Anaka, Terjina Atek, Ogelle son of Yasoni
Lugaca, Olanya Janjula and his brother Ocaya min Abili, were murdered in cold
blood because they complained bitterly about the soldiers raping their women
and girls.
In 1987, a Catholic brother of Marian Society was murdered in cold blood by
the Government troops in their house, at Minakulu Catholic Parish â€" 25
Kilometres from Gulu Town on Gulu-Kampala road.
In 1989, Amuru Catholic Parish in Kilak County was thoroughly vandalized by
the NRA Commanders who carried away one new electric generator and other
moveable properties.
In 1989, NRA Commanders arrested James Owor, Paulo Odong Okul, Gericom Opok,
Icemael Ongom, Okema and many others from Parwec Parish, Lalogi Sub-County,
Omoro, and their bullet ridden bodies were found in the bush near the road to
Gulu.
On one Auction Day in Atiak Trading Centre, many people went to sell and buy
in 1989. NRA Commanders decided to stop selling and buying activity and began
to address the people. But their speeches took too long and the people whose
homes were far from the trading centre began complaining and leaving the rally
one by one. Immediately Lieutenant Edema of NRA ordered his soldiers to shoot
at the people at random. Over ten people were killed.
  KITGUM DISTRICT

In 1987, the NRA Commanders robbed a large herd of cattle owned by an
ex-parish Chief Pacoto of Parwec Clan, Puranga, Awere Sub-County. Pacoto
stubbornly followed the soldiers who were driving the cattle towards Lira
District, demanding that his animals should be returned to him. The Commander
ordered the soldiers to shoot him in cold blood.
On the same day Labeja Yakobo Olwoch was arrested and later his
bullet-riddled body was found on the roadside. Nobody knew why he was killed
in cold blood.
On the same day Ogwal p’Ogete was also shot dead without any explanation.

During the same week, a secondary school student â€" Odora son of Finikasi
Odora was also killed. The poor boy was standing on the compound of Puranga
Primary School where his father was a teacher, at a distance of some thirty
metres from the main road, innocently watching columns of soldiers who were
marching sluggishly along Kitgum-Lira Road. Then one of the soldiers suddenly
opened fire on the boy and killed him instantly. There was no fighting in the
area. The rebels were reported to be thirty kilometres away from Puranga
Trading Centre where the killing took place.
During the same week, 32 young men from Lagile Parish, Awere Sub-County, who
were returning home from a block farm where their Hoeing Team called Wang Kweri
went to work in the morning. All were carrying hoes, which clearly showed
that they have been digging. But they were arbitrarily arrested by the NRA
Patrol and taken to Kilak Corner. The Lagile elders met and asked the Parish
Chief, Labeja Lumuk, to follow the arrested young men and explain to the NRA
Commanders that they were innocent. Labeja Lumuk went as instructed by the
elders. On arrival at Corner Kilak, he was also detained together with the 32
young men. Then later shot dead with the 32 young men.
