*In My opinion!*

Citizens, the move by German President to visit Northern Uganda must be
welcomed by all peace loving citizens of Uganda and members of the
International Community. The move stands in to stake contrast to that of the
Leader of the British Commonwealth ( the Queen of England) who, while in
Uganda, could not even think of visiting Northern Uganda to access for her
self the suffering our people have been and continue to go through under
Dictator Yoweri Museveni's NRM Military dictatorship.

That stated , it must be pointed out in no uncertain terms that if the Peace
talks in Juba between the LRA and Museveni's Regime were to fail, Yoweri
Museveni's NRM Military dictatorship must and should be entirely held
responsible for such failure.

As for the so called "integration" of LRA fighter's ..This will never
happen... LRA Combatants are Freedom Fighters ..period!!!... and they have
been rightly so Fighting an oppressive Dictator of Yoweri Museveni Kaguta,
who for 22 years have been oppressing and subjugating the People of Uganda .

We wish the German President well in his endeavor to help the people of
Northern Uganda.

PRESIDENT Horst Kohler of Germany is scheduled to visit northern Uganda next
month to assess the situation and resettlement of displaced persons in tshe
war ravaged region.

This was disclosed by German officials who visited Acholi Paramount Chief,
David Onen Achana II in Gulu on Thursday.

The Germans said President Kohler will arrive in the country on February 3
and hold discussions with the government before proceeding to Gulu.

Dr. Steck Rainold, the Chief of Protocol said President Kohler will be
interested in discussing "the reintegration of LRA ex-combatants if the
peace talks yield results, resettlement of IDPs and the development of
northern Uganda."

Ambassador Buchholz said he wanted the LRA leadership to show seriousness as
regards the peace process because the international community is
increasingly getting concerned.

"It's on the side of the LRA to decide the next step but it is unfortunate
that up to today, Kony has not met his peace team to discuss the
deliberations from the just concluded consultation," Mr Buchholz said. He
said despite the current initiatives, the international community would not
accept impunity.

This is against a backdrop of calls for seeking alternative means of justice
to the International Criminal Court that has indicted LRA leaders.
