The 81 scholarships were from the CIA. At the time of Independence, Anglo-Saxon imperialism was fully behind Jomo Kenyatta, as opposed to the true Mau Mau freedom fighter - Didan Kimathi. They nevertheless were also grooming a parallel and alternative group, just in case Kenyatta betrayed them. That alternative, led by Tom Mboya, is the one to which Obama Sr. belonged. That is how he got the scholarship to the University of Hawaii, and later to Harvard. Once Anglo-Saxon imperialism was sure that Kenyatta was a reliable neo-colonial agent, they got rid of Tom Mboya. Tom Mboya, in Nairobi, was entering a pharmacy, accompanied by Obama Sr, when he was shot/assassinated in 1968. Obama Sr, the primary witness to the murder, gave evidence in court. He soon lost his job in Ministry of Finance, where he was working with Kibaki ( Both were drinking buddies. i.e. alcoholics). That is why President-elect Obama today is closer to Kibaki than to any Luo, including Oginga Odinga. Some speculate that Kenyatta and Anglo-Saxon imperialism eventually killed Obama Sr. to get rid of all the evidence/witnesses.
