What exactly did this Police officer do to get shot? What exactly did the
officers on site do to cause this action? What is the response of FDC after
the death of this police officer that was killed by one of their supporters?
It is very interesting that you were among those that attacked me when I
stated the fear in Uganda by Ugandans of the violence created by FDC and Dr
Kiiza Besigye. May be we would have not got a family of 8 children without a
provider today.
Your crisis tomorrow is going to be those children.

>From all the news accounts that I've read so far, there was no staged
anti-government demonstration here. Instead, Mayor Lukwago was conducting
Besigye on a walk-through inspection of city repair projects. Naturally,
such an event will attract onlookers, given the public profile of the host
and the guest. Therefore, police should have expected and appreciated that a
crowd would be milling around the two personalities.
I think the police became agitated here because Besigye had beaten their
trap at his home by sneaking through their security barricade. So, they were
incensed at his audacity to show up in town and stroll around on the
streets. While I mourn the death of the police officer, I concur with you
that it could have been avoided if police were left to be police; instead,
our cops are so militarized that they take military orders, which can not be
questioned.
The murder charges against Besigye and Lukwago won't stick. They are no
Agaba in this situation. For all we know, they had no clue as to who the
stone throwers were, neither did the stone thrower do so in their
protection. The regime might still keep them under detention for awhile,
though; that's the nature of the beast we call NRM government.

Mr Isabirye balamu:
Last evening I was panelist at a Nigerian conference and before the meeting
started , they showed a video about their version of occupy Nigeria. I was
impressed with the courage of the people. Then they screened another protest
in South Africa which led to the January something movement. I tell you
what, I was impressed by the courage of South Africans. When they were tear
gassing them one brave soul was busy boxing several police officers. They
hit him and hit them hard in the face with vicious blows. It went on for a
moment until he was overpowered by tear gas.
Of course that cannot happen in Uganda because the policemen are there to
shoot. Now Iam do not want to sound insensitive which is why I said police
in uganda should disobey illegal orders. Granted they would be taken for
discipline but better that way than obey illegal orders against the people.
Remember it is "We/They" The People of Uganda who are trying to exercise
their agency.
Policing in ugnada is stil primitive and if police continue to obey illegal
orders faa from General "sadist in chief" Kayihura, they have to face the
consequences. Ugandans have a right to fight back in self defense. Don't
they?
Now about the chaos. You are a scientist. The chaos would not happen or
would have ended had the police/state not engaged in the equivalent of
positive feedback in science. All they have don is fuel the chaos.
The right thing would have to let the politicians walk. They were not
looting so what was the heavy police presence about?
The nonsense that walking is outlawed in Uganda must stop before more lives
are lost.

Folks:
Well, it is time for Ugandan police women and men to disobey illegal orders.
May Ariong's soul RIP.
But do not forget what I wrote here about General Kayihura as the most
dangerous man in uniform. he is areal sadist.
Now which court will\t entertain murder charges against those who were
walking? I suppose General Kayihura and his bosses could shop for a
Bernard Chunga like monster and put him in Buganda Road Courts to preside.
At one time I thought that the state had found their Chunga inn Akakwansa
and that former Mmengo CM. .
