to Kobe? These services were not Manna from heaven but critical thinkers
were sitting, and burning their brains to figure out how name sake will have
a school and a teacher to teach him, text books like Introduction to Biology
by McLean to show up at every kids table. The moment you pull AMO and Akena
Adoko out of the formula, we start to praise the government for it has made
Ssabassajja Mutebi a free sucker of money in Uganda. Tell me only one thing
Mutebi has done for a Muganda to feed on this good will. And I need only
one.
And yet he is banking his money out of Uganda as Baganda are dying in Masabo
having babies. Go figure the stupidity.

You remind me when we were driving to Arua and just passed Pakwach somewhere
in there I cannot tell you the village but after the bridge, we saw a little
stick standing in middle of the road and there was a small hut on the side
of the road. A hut we mistakenly thought is a home of some Ugandan, yet it
was a Police Station and the stick in the road was a sign of a road block.
And this Ugandan came out firing an AK47 literary. And he was a kid but he
helped us for he fired in the air and we stopped the car way passed him and
did not have a clue what was going on. But we think he knew we had no idea
what had just happened for we had a huge 4X4 with a foreign plate and just
driving. He walked towards us with a loaded gun already fired off a couple
of bullets and asked us why we passed a Police Station without stopping when
we saw the road block. It was a very interesting 15 minutes of our drive
through Uganda. But we ended up being friends that he took us to tour the
office and we stopped on our way coming back to Kampala via Lira Soroti
Jinja Kampala. But this was the Police Station built by the Movement for a
Ugandan to serve in.
What I do not understand to today, and God I am going to Uganda in a couple
of months, but I need to go back and ask where these officers live for I saw
no village no transportation I just saw one hut and the whole place was a
jungle. Oh and inside the hut there was a Police sign, now that I recollect.
Oh Boy !!!

The surprise in this picture is that some sane person calls it an office!
When I was growing up, we had Nagongera Gombolola headquarters. Oh boy,
those were the days: white washed, concrete buildings in a field of
manicured grass. Not this dilapidated, mosquito headquarters.
