I have seen that happening in our city, many times it is a result of the
Securicor truck putting notes in wrong trays. The system does not understand
that this is a 2 100 dollar bill but it understands that if you want two
hundred dollars it hands you 2 100s, when a security guard gets 50s and put
them in a tray of 100s still the machine will pull you 2 50s for it has
pulled out of the 100s tray. There is a much large danger in the system for
we want our money to be safe in the machines but we use half haphazardly
employees to run all over the city with the money which is cash. Trust me
there are way worse stories with those guys than can be posted in a public
forum, for I know them and I half way work with them. I know a kid that left
a 100,000 dollars in a bag inside an instant bank machine room, but he had
worked 18 hours straight. Every employee makes mistakes at his place of
work, the mistakes of these guys are very costly yet still banks do not want
to pay them fairly. Banks are the only institutions that never go public
with a mistake even if you rob them they will never make it public, they pay
and move on.
I wonder why.

<http://www.afp.com/> Police were called to restore calm in eastern England
after a cash machine started dispensing twice the money its customers were
asking for.
<http://www.afp.com/> The Lloyds TSB cash machine in Ipswich began
dispensing "free money" to customers Wednesday after the bank branch had
closed for the evening.
<http://www.afp.com/> As word of the fault spread, a crowd began to gather,
prompting arguments among those trying to use the faulty machine.
<http://www.afp.com/> Police were called in to keep watch until the bank's
staff could take the machine out of service.
<http://www.afp.com/> A Lloyds' spokesman said the machine had been
"misdispensing" cash for only a "short time". The spokesman added: "We
apologise for any inconvenience caused."
<http://www.afp.com/> Some 30 people are thought to have benefitted from
the glitch.
<http://www.afp.com/> It is not clear how much money the bank lost, or if
it will be able to recover the funds.
<http://www.afp.com/> Emma Hutchinson, from Ipswich, told the Ipswich Star:
"Word got around pretty quickly. My friend asked for £40 and the machine
gave out £80."
<http://www.afp.com/> She told the newspaper that she went to see if the
rumour was true but decided not to withdraw any money herself.
<http://www.afp.com/> Lloyds Banking Group, which had to be bailed out by
the British government to the tune of £21 billion at the height of the
global financial crisis, said in a results statement Thursday that it had
cut interim net losses to £676 million on the back of restructuring
measures.

machine, one Twitter user, @FizzySparkler, commented: "Nice to see one bank
is giving back."
