The games in UK are opening up today, a whole lot of people are prepared for
them but so are the players. But as we prepare for these games I have failed
over and over to understand why such a function that raises a ton of money
to IOC and the host city, becomes a function built on very poor people. It
is too expensive to train for these games yet there is no clear arrangement
between the IOC and the players to train. They either finance themselves or
they get a sponsor, but bottom line it is your business to find out how you
train to become a professional player and taken to the Olympics to make the
IOC bosses rich. And in return they get you absolutely nothing. There are
countries that are poor yet they many times bring out the best, and it
shudders to note that the IOC which hold a ton of cash does not even care to
understand where Izikuru is today. City mayors go to compete for these games
they invest a whole lot into them and in billions of dollars in
advertisement but in construction of venues as well, yet we end with players
crying how they had very terrible food or how they had terrible hotels for
they would not manage the rate of good hotels. We need all to raise up and
go after two people that make the most money out of these games, the IOC and
the host city. There is no reason why the city of London for example makes a
whack of cash at short and long term when a player that came from Zimbabwe
to compete and probably won a gold goes back to poverty.
And this is what can be done with immediate effect, players need to find a
major international union and get unionized. The fact that these are games
that happen every whatever, the union must be arranged that you become a
member if you qualify to play into the Olympics. If these players are
organized and unionized, the union can go after the IOC and force it to pay
its players for this is simply ridiculous. The union also must be able to go
after the host city so that it also sends a fund into the union to pay for
these players. A good example is Hockey in these countries, yes we have
players that make a ton of cash through contractual agreements, but because
hockey players are organized in a union they are able to get a guaranteed
basic pay that is not a laughable amount. Why cant we do this in Olympics
where IOC operates as a Mafia group? It amazes me also why no international
union has sat down and thought about this critically.
Enjoy the games as IOC and the city of London are using you like slaves
exactly.
