Who has snubbed Museveni? I wonder what sources of information some of you
use. The West is a very old player in these games, it never goes after a
despot unless it has a better despot. And who do you think they are willing
to work with today instead of Museveni? {For Uganda is very critical to
them, never kid yourself, as they loot it and use it to loot neighboring
countries dry, as we are squabbling over Magulu Nyondo awangaale crap.}
General Mugisha Muntu a joke or Doctor Kiiza Besigye an already spent force?
Oh I forgot Washington is ready to tap into the good will Buganda has to
Mengo, Bugandas love to Ssabassajja and their being centrally located, so
they are going to work with Ssabassajja to create a change in Uganda using
Baganda. You know it is this such a low stupidity in political analysis of
Ugandans that educated me to drink a beer just to get off stress.
I gotta go get an Old Milwaukee and a warm one when we are at it. Geez
!!!!!!!

Subject: Re: {UAH} Kadaga asks ICC to let Uganda try Kony

I think Museveni is desperate to have any conversation with the west since
they have all snubbed him.
He is worried that if ICC tries 'Kony' they will discover the awful truth
that 'Kony' does not exist.
And If ICC allows Uganda to try 'Kony' there will be some 'facilitation'

First, minor correction, it is "LRA" not "NRA" though I would love to see
NRM to sue NRA (UPDF)
Back to the main issue, I think Kadaga being an NRM member wants to save her
party. If ICC tries Kony, Uganda will be forced to adduce evidence to back
their accusations and Kony will have to defend himself; the way I see it,
Kadaga wants to avoid that scenario. I doubt if ICC will grant her wishes
anyway.
No,Kony should be tried by the ICC since his LRA outfit has terrorized other
countries (DRC, Sudan and CAR); Uganda will not address those countries'
concerns. I support NRM government in its fight against terrorism and since
it accused Kony, let others judge the case, otherwise how does it accuse,
judge and then punish? That will spoil the good name of government. I think
Kadaga is mistaken.

Folks;
I don't think Uganda has the capacity to try Kony & NRA because Uganda is a
party to the NRA rebellion. In fact, it's Uganda that preferred charges
against NRA at the ICC.
Moreover, Uganda has convinced the world into believing that Kony operates
all over East and Central Africa. That, in a nutshell, brings to question:
what's Uganda's legal framework to investigate, let alone prosecute, crimes
against humanity alleged committed outside of its borders, even though by
its citizens?
Let the ICC continue with its work. I would also advise Kadaga that going
forward, Uganda should weigh its position more carefully before submitting
cases for international adjudication.
