thanks for your kind greetings messages to me. Its true I have been out of
public scene for same time, as Iam trying to add up things together.
However I will be back.
My chipping in, on that day was about our being at variance with regard to
the report surrounding the date of death, of my former friend the late Bob
Astles Lubowa, as was reported by Brother Ismail Nkonge, on the forum.
The fact is that, the public and many close friends of Bob Astles did not
know about his death until he had been cremated. Nevertheless Captain
Muhammad Seruwgi had talked to him on phone on the 28th-December 2012. From
that information there was no way he would have died on the 19th-December
2012 as was earlier reported by brother Ismail.
Bob Astles Lubowa lived in Uganda from1949 to 1986. He was first arrested
and put in Uganda prison in 1971 along with Ex-Minister Kalule Ssettaala by
President Idi Amin. That was immediately after Amin had over thrown Dr.
Milton Obotes first government. Bob Astles was re-arrested in 1979 and
taken Luzira after being deported from Kenya.
Bob Astles succumbed to cancer on December 29th-2012. He shall be remembered
as a former adviser to the Ugandan President Idi Amin Dada. He was 88 at his
death
