Why would you as an ordinary citizen stand up to praise an ambassador? A
diploma in an embassy? Dont you see a danger into that reasoning its self?
Why is he of any value to you as a Ugandan? It simply gets very strange when
you praise a person in a position you have no power to appointment, and do
you know why you have no power to his appointment? For his job does not
affect you directly, he follows orders from his appointees who are Uganda
government. The people you have powers in their appointment are people that
directly work with you as a Ugandan, and that is why you elect them. In all
years I have followed politics I do not know a single diplomat appointed for
the people support him as I do not know a single diplomat expelled for the
people are complaining about him. It starts to look silly when you praise a
man you have no idea why he was appointed let alone why he will be
transferred let alone fired.
Just critical thinking !!!!

We have a member here..one of our own who has quietly done wonders in his
field of work without many of us noticing and or giving him credit for.
This gentleman is non other than Kabonero the current Ugandan Envoy to
Kigali.
Before he was appointed to this very sensitive post Uganda and her close
allay Rwanda had gone to war almost twice and were threatening to revisit
the unfinished business of Kisangani almost daily.

Then comes in this littler known and young diplomat Kabonero fresh from
Canada post and completely turns things around. Ever since he went to Kigali
the brotherly relationship between the two countries has grown from an
openly hostile one to a very warm sisterly one and still growing!
There is no longer any talk of war but Cooperation. The two Presidents have
visited each other several times and exchanged cow gifts over a glass of
milk!
Now the icing of the cake to this story! Those of you who may be weak of
heart might what to seat down.
We have all heard of the dare and embarrassing situation our embassies are
all over the world? Now hear this..Kabonero recently invited the President
to break grounds for a brand new consulate building to be built in the very
heart of Kigali!

EM I know you might think you are dreaming but let me assure you that this
is NOT a dream and don't even attempt to wake up from it...it's a true
Ugandan success story of which we can all be proud of and claim as our own!
Amb. Kabonero....on behalf of EM and all the members of this community I
salute you and say this... You have done us all very proud!
