Although the Ssalongo Ssenogas of today want us educated that UPC under AMO
brought Panda Gari into Uganda, fact remains that UPC never brought it to
Uganda. Those of us that were not toddlers during UNLF days, remember that
we had Panda Gari in Uganda, and we had a Kireka barracks bus Ekiro Kitwala
Omunaku and road blocks all over the place. And Yoweri Museveni at a time
was a second in charge of UNLF but a Minister of defense as well. Panda Gari
was brought to Uganda by Museveni as Okusiba Akandooya. Obote left Tanzania
to Uganda on 27 May 1980 and UPC came to power 10th December 1980, how did
it start Panda Gari?
Panda Gari has just returned home where it belonged to start with sir.
