These postings were made last night and posted only that they would not pop
up, so ignore them for they are 24 hours late, and we sincerely apologize
for that.
Toronto had a very bad night, just to give you the idea, the record of rain
in this city was set on October 15 1954 when a hurricane Hazel pounded this
city. Hurricane Hazel brought 285 millimeters or 11.23 inches of rain in 48
hours, this storm dumped about 126mm in 7 hours. But you have to compensate
that with a fact that Torontos housing is booming and we have turned every
inch of the ground into a slab. The sewage system simply failed to hold the
amount of water dumped into it and the causality kicked in..
We woke up in major power losses all over the place, we woke up with no
traffic lights, driving has been hectic all day, we have a ware house in
Rexdale that has collapsed, TTC {Toronto transit Commission} is not running
from Islington to Jane but buses as I post this writing, Go train is
advising everyone to forget it till further notice, and locations like
Union station are still under water. 3 of work colleagues had their cars
submerged so they are right offs. And it is not only about power loos, for
example I have not lost power even for a second, but my internet provider
has been off since last evening for their power supplies just gave up. UEB
of Toronto is trying to restore the services but for we have so many
customers off, they have now started to do black outs and brown outs, so it
is generally a Kampala load shedding till when they can restart most of
these systems. If youre in The Greater Authority of Toronto, please do not
use any of the major appliances, washers dryers AC on very limited
condition, if you have an electric car do not plug in till when we get
several power sub stations up and running. To those that know this city,

We are good and we will be alright for we are mostly back on in all systems
for I can now even post.

About 80% of Mississauga has lost power, south bound DVP/404 has been closed
from Bay view Bloor to Gardner. We have too much waters in the house please
it is time for everyone to remain in doors. We need a time for this water to
despite but power to resurrect. The greater Authority of Toronto because
much of our power wiring is underground we are still on, but if you are in a
class of Dr Kipenji that regard a golf course as a right in the back yard,
please get a Tadooba urgentily.
We are watching as this massive cloud passes the city.

We have a thunder storm in the city and most of Etobicoke power has gone, so
if you are in Etobicoke our hearts are with you. If you are not in Etobicoke
but Toronto or Dr Kipenjis villages please stay indoors this is a some
severe storm and many locations are going to be blacked out due to thunder.
Toronto Hydro is calling on 6,000 customers in the dark as you are reading
this.
