It actually needs to be erased for it is a sign of savage people. How can
you locate a prime land in middle of down town to taxis? Why do you need to
travel that much? Have you failed to take the services to the people and
that is why they look for them? Then take them to the people but start by
shutting down the taxi parks for you do not need them. After you close it
and you have cut down the number of taxes to a mere 15% of what you have
today, put them on roads, go to Bwayise and put those to Luwero, go to
Natete and put those to Western Uganda but leave the down town core alone.
Very terrible planning indeed as poor as manufacturing soap in the middle of
down town. Are you kidding me !!!!!! Mukwano industries should be in
Kyabazaala, there is power supply and River Ssezibwa with a tarmac road to
both Jinja and Kampala.
Why is soap manufactured five feet from Bank of Uganda and parliament
building? And Just asking !!!!!

How important is the old taxi park? Has it a history?
The old taxi park is of a historical significance that KCCA should uphold.
In the old taxi park there was a big tree where Ugandans Nationalists -
started the anti colonial war. Because Nakasero hill and other areas in the
City were deemed to be under the British rule Ugandans could afford a city
park of their own where they could address their national demands.
A monument should be raised here in the names of Musaazi and company who
dared the Bristish trained police forces then.
That is how important the OlD Taxi Park is important in the years gone by.
