United Nations has a base in Jonglei state and the youths from a second
largest ethnic group of Southern Sudan have decided to attack it pursuing
civilians who had taken refugee there. The security of this base has been
compromised and three United Nation peace keepers have been killed in the
process.
The watch on South Sudan continues.

Friends
We are being waken up to get reports of very fierce fighting in Southern
Sudan, reports are stating that the government has lost control of the
capital city and some major cities. 500 to 600 people are reported dead in
the capital. United States has sent what it defines as a small contingent to
South Sudan to protect its embassy. We have a very sizable number of
Ugandans and Kenyans in South Sudans capital, so we are very concerned
about this matter.
Good morning from this side of the isle.
