Friends
I am not writing this piece to create friends, I am writing it to continue
parading the facts that we have in our eyes that have continued to be
ignored as our country gets worse by the day. To understand Uganda one needs
to divide it into sectors, my mother sector that really does not do much but
talk Takataka and the educated class that we have in huge numbers in this
forum.
>From the day I was born, I was brought up trained that I was created a
better person for I was born a Muganda. I will never forget that beautiful
Uganda day when I went to Luwuube and I got a job to pick coffee from an old
mans shamba, he shows up to check on how I was doing and I had plucked a
few green ones, Baganda respected coffee so much that he was upset and he
said in a direct quote Why are you not careful when you pick? You cannot
pick the greens. You are behaving as if youre not a Muganda End quote. So
to this man being a Muganda was a base of behavior manners and being civil.
But being a non Muganda also meant being a savage. And that is how some of
us have tried so hard to get from that growth to writing this piece thus
making the argument.
As much as Uganda is so tribally divided, it is not the divisions that make
us fail it is the un civilization that is holding the country. Ugandans as a
population are savages way worse than a cave man. They make so much noise
because Baganda were killed by Obote and we had Nakulabye, but when you look
closely it is Baganda killing Baganda today. Not Acholis not AMO not
Museveni but Baganda are the ones holding guns the most in the country, and
so corrupt and cheap. So the violence you had in the country is only being
used by Baganda to get the upper arm of the current situation. If we were
civilized, honestly the reinstatement of Mengo should have vitalized
Buganda. By today Buganda under Mengo leadership would have got a single
operating hospital, a single functioning university and Mengo as an entity
would have demonstrated how terrible is Museveni for Mengo can run a better
system. And all that would have been achieved by Ssabassajja or Nabagereka
standing up and making a single call of we want a hospital in this place in
Buganda. The Baganda in diaspora would have infused in a minimum of 5
million dollars a single month, for we are in diaspora but we have some
means. But the un civilization in Mengo, the Obukupya that Ssabassajja has
displayed, no one can hand him the money and we are thus worse under
Ssabassajja than we were under Obote s government. When Mengo closed its
self, Obote had hospitals we took our wives into, my God all my kids were
born in Uganda hospitals, but when Mengo was opened up, Baganda women are
dropping off Mengo floors to death. Go figure when you call Obote and he
refuse to respond.
Then I have The Acholis that have so confused me, in all years I have been
in these forums I have stood for all insults because I defend Northerners. I
have lost personal friends because I opposed Karushyokye to define them as
biological substances. Do you recognize how far back I started to defend
them? When Dr Kiiza Besigye and Museveni decided that camping Acholis was
going to be a secret that must never be reported to the international
community, I stood with Matek Opok and we made it public. I repeat myself,
exposing camps in The North started because EM and Matek Opok decided to
turn Ugandanet into a battle ground of exposing them, in fact Uganda
government started by opposing us that there is no camps in The North, that
was Kiiza Besigye Mugisha Muntu Samson Mandes public position. Uganda
ministers were kidnapped and for months in Eastern Uganda and Uganda
government kept that a secret as well. If I defended Acholis to that level,
how can Akim Odong stand up today to claim that I do not care if Acholis get
murdered?
Yes Akim Odong can make that claim because when Ugandans consider killing
others, it is only a crime to a tribe if a tribe is murdered. I am leaving
the class of my mother I started with, let me go to the upper end class of
Ugandans. When Acholis attacked The People of Moyo, Ombaci Alua and other
Northern Uganda parts, George Okello knew about it. But even though he is a
lawyer practicing in UK and a member of Amnesty international, he cannot
defend the population of Ombaci because they are not Acholis, and they are
being murdered by Acholis. So to him that is fine and it can be left a
secret. Did Edward Pojim know about these murders? And I say yes, but why
didnt he make it public and oppose it in support of the people? Because he
is not a Lugbara and neither an Alur. So in a forum this large when you have
only a few from that part of region, Mayimuna Kenyi and OJ can do very
little to expose how their families were decapitated by Acholis. And to
repeat myself, to today Sunday Toronto morning, the information about the
Acholis killing all these tribes in The North is a very unknown fact. And if
you want to be a good Ugandan you always keep quiet and must only talk if
you tribe is decimated. This is sadly believed by my mother class and
educated class of Uganda.
When a country is this badly structured from get go, a man like Museveni
only taps into the idiocy to his advantage. Karimojongs have been stealing
cows from each other since I opened my eyes, they go after the Trukanas and
vice versa, what Museveni did was to send AK47s to them so that the looting
that was based on spears is now based on AK47s. The government then turned
around and went to kill them with guns and loot their cows. The population
turned around and trained the Karimojong women that have turned out to be
the best AK47 operators in the region. Today it is women that go with AK47s
to steal cows. Bagisu and Shanas are at each other and if Museveni hands
them guns they will go after each other. If Mengo gets guns they will take
out Banyara in a single week. Baluri will be chassed into Lake Kyoga all to
die. Banyoro really need all Batagwendas exterminated as Bakiga need
Bahororo gone. The existence of Uganda and Ugandan population is solely
based on being a large group in a tribe, so if you are few as Banubbi,
Langi, Madi or Alurs, you will all be annihilated by Acholis. A good Acholi
then can sit in Gulu and govern all way to Nimule.
We cannot change our country until when we agree that it belongs to all of
us, a death of an Alur must concern an Acholi as a death of a Muganda must
concern a Munyala as a death of Muluri must concern a Sabiny. And that level
is way far apart for Uganda population to arrive at. I flew out of this city
one of those very gone days, and I wanted to travel to Europe, and one of
the people I wanted to meet was a non Muganda. Man was I admonished, nope
do not go there you are going to die you are going to be poisoned, we pray
you not to go to that family. But you see when you reach at this age you
will die anyway, I drove in and we sat with the fella and he dragged me so
well that I have no clue how that meeting ended. Couple of brandies Uganda
Waragi murdered and we talked a great deal as human beings do. That level of
life is what we desperately need and we are not going to get it in our
generation. We have those that believe that because they are educated they
crap food in toilets. But we have those that believe that killing is the
only solution to all Uganda problems.
UPC as a party was very well structured, some of us love its policies and we
defend them. But defending UPC policies is walking up the wall because any
time the term UPC is mentioned, a Ugandan sees an Acholi with a gun and
raping his wife after killing the husband. Whenever you commit crimes to the
people, they never forget. A Tutsi decided to steal my money from my
passport, it was only a 5 dollar bill, and I think I have talked about it
before. I refused him to take it. But dont you wonder about that knowledge?
He saw the dollar and wanted to take it. An Acholi was never interested into
your money or your belonging, he was only interested into your life. He
looks at you with such brutality and then goes Cha-cha wewe bwana twende. 2
blocks down the road the gun goes off and you are dead, he returns and
screws your wife in your own bed. Acholis committed such violence in our
country that Maput can never erase. And all these reports I am making this
morning, are from Buganda where we saw them face to face, so question
yourself what they did in Ombaci Moyo let alone Arua where we only saw the
dead. Poor leadership and uniterism are not the problem of Uganda, it is
sheer brutality among each other that is eating our country, and I opine
that no one has established the best solution of this country than a one
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The man has gladly structured us for a very clean massive civil war, let us
hold this discussion again, at the end of that civil war.
