What happened to the ranting always that the problem of Sudan are Arabs?
That is how Uganda is going to be screwed after you turn it into a federal
state. You are going to have parts in Uganda fighting within themselves and
then you wills top to see the stupid reasoning of Uganda’s problem is
unitarism and the moment you switch off Unitarism you will get a democratic
society. Building democracy is not a switch it is growth that happens by
building blocks one by one. There are very fundamental blocks that must be
built in Uganda, for example I get confused whenever I ask why political
parties are not structured regionally in Uganda. Why don’t we have UPC DP
let alone FDC established in Buganda Bunyoro and so on? The moment you raise
that question then everyone screams for unitary is the problem, no it is a
failure to grow politically. Let me use a very stupid example. Even if you
allow the region of Bunyoro to federate, you need to hold an election within
Bunyoro o get the politicians to lead that region, and that election must be
done under political party structure. You cannot elect them through Kingdom
of Bunyoro for Bunyoro kingdom is not a political structure. When you ask
that question to Baganda they come back with Baganda will decide how they
run the election. Nonsense you have only one way to elect political leaders
and it is through political structures that you do not have and failed to
do.

Question yourself why Kabaka Yekka has failed in Buganda. Why can’t you get
Baganda organized to create a political structure in Buganda to go to
parliament and defend Buganda interests in parliament? Because you’re still
primitive and un nationalistic. Quebec here makes noise for it has a
political party created to defend Quebec in parliament, but do you see Abbey
Ssemuwemba holding a party card of KY than FDC? So if he cannot cross that
Rubicon where is his interest to Buganda? And that is why you see Ugandans
scream for Federalism because it is built to sustain the hate with in those
regions. The people screaming for Federalism are Baganda Banyoro and Acholis
all three have fought tribal wars and killed many of the smaller tribes. And
that is exactly what they want to do again. A Munyankole is screaming for
federalism than a Mukiga? Why? Because when you put the kingdom in Ankole
back they see a vision of killing off Bakiga and expand. Go to Ankole today
and create political structures built to defend the interests of Ankole and
see how many Banyankole will vote for it, none.

That is the reason we must be very careful with Betty Kamya, she is getting
a good governance and handing it to stupid people.

Subject: {UAH} South Sudan president's address to nation canceled

http://english.cntv.cn/program/africalive/20140116/100245.shtml?

By CCTV correspondent Kofa Mrenje

South Sudan's President Salva Kiir has failed to deliver a national address
on the ongoing violence in the country. Instead, his office released a
statement, calling on the country to stand together during this difficult
time. The government also vowed to continue the fight against the rebel
opposition.

One month to the day since the violence that has split South Sudan erupted
and many in Juba had hoped the president's promised address to the nation
would contain good news.

Instead, the president's office merely recounted that lead mediator Seyoum
Mesfin had been in Juba. And that Kiir had made his position clear in those
talks.

"The president has given him what to say and the mediators are continuing on
that line and if something happens then you will know it," said presidential
spokesman Ateny Wek.

The sticking point remains the detention of 11 rebel sympathisers. Rebel
leader Riek Machar wants them freed. Kiir is refusing. It's a position that
hasn't changed throughout the weeks of talks.

In the absence of Salva Kiir's national address, the news here continues to
be dominated by reports of the fighting, a confused but increasingly
troubled picture. People are seeking reassurance.
