The <http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/assault> assault has left her with bruises on her face and swollen eyes. The woman has undergone a medico-legal examination and her statement has been recorded. She said she would approach the external affairs ministry and human rights groups. When contacted, the law minister told TOI the allegations were false. "It's all a lie. There were thousands of people at the spot who will vouch for me. The media was recording it. No woman was misbehaved with," he said. The 31-year-old mother of two claimed she was in India to look at higher education options. She was returning from Sahara Mall in a taxi on Wednesday night when the group attacked her, screaming that she was a "prostitute and a drug trafficker". "I am still traumatized. They were touching me everywhere, pulling my hair and assaulting me," she said. She said the men said men asked for her passport and said they would not let her leave until she told them what she was doing there at night. "If I was doing something wrong I would not be staying here during the day," she said. The woman and her friend lodged a complaint at Malviya Nagar police station and said they could identify the culprits. "For a moment I thought they were going to kill me. They probably would have had the cops not rescued me," she said.
