Well Indians have come in we have Somalis in we have Senegalese in we have
Nigerians in what is so wrong with Kenyans coming in? Oh I forgot the Boers
are in too. That is what you get when a foreigner leads your country. The
next president is going to be called a Mr. Sultan Al Bin Sultan a Somali.

Well if Ugandans themselves want a Muntonyera to lead them why not a Somali

Kotido- More than 2,000 Turkana pastoralists have crossed into Uganda to
graze their animals following the persistent drought in western Kenya.

The arrival of the pastoralists in Karamoja sub-region on Monday follows
last week’s meeting between the Turkana leaders and Ugandan authorities.

The Kenyans requested their Ugandan counterparts for grazing land after
Turkana region suffered the worst drought in decades.

The RDCs in the sub-region allowed the pastoralists to cross with their
animals but asked them to leave behind ammunition. The pastoralists are
known to carry guns as a measure against cattle rustling.

However, Kenya and Uganda agreed to disarm the pastoralists on either side
of the border.

Mr Andrew Napaja Keem, the Kotido Resident District Commissioner, on Tuesday
confirmed the arrival of the pastoralists with 350,000 head of cattle,
goats, donkeys and camels.

Available grazing land
He said the pastoralists are grazing their animals in the 80-kilometer
stretch covering three sub counties in Moroto, Kotido and Kaabong districts.

“We have welcomed them into Uganda and they must stay in peace with other
pastoralists,” Mr Napaja said.

“If we get information that some of them have crossed with their guns, then
they will be chased away,” he said.

Mr Napaja also called upon the veterinary department of Turkana County to
ensure that they contribute vaccination drugs for the animals in case of
disease outbreak.

Mr Emmanuel Imana, the Turkana County peace ambassador, applauded the Uganda
government for its positive response to save them from starvation.
