Or to do an intelligent thing in his life to stand and state that according to
Uganda’s history this election is going to be a farce so FDC as a party is not
going to stand. Period. I just hate it when we sing Museveni is a dictator when
the Wafula Oguttu are eating big and the Ssabassajja crap are paid by the very
same man. Uganda democracy has to be built by all of us, but for some very
unknown reason there seem to be those of us that are out of Museveni’s camp and
Wafula with Ssabassajja that are inside with Museveni. I just
don’t get it. No seriously what intelligent negotiation can you hold with NRM?
Wafula Oguttu just say I am ready to firkin eat. Geez
Soon he is also going to die in a Germany hospital.

Nyar;
Oguttu has to bring in another manner of leadership to contrast with Mafabi's,
otherwise, there would be no change at the top. In this maiden interview, he
tells us that he will engage the ruling party more, and behind the scenes, on
contentious issues before they are brought to Parliament for debate.
This approach of negotiaions in leading an Opposition party is what made Tip
O'Oneal a darling of US Democrats during the hung-go days of Ronald Reagan.
Being in Opposition should not, and does not, mean being the enemy of the
ruling party.
What Oguttu is outlining here is what I had expressed will happen under his
leadership, because I see him as better placed in backroom negotiations than
tearing up the government side on the House floor; he's not that kind of guy.

Hmmm!!
Who has the power to create that condition - government or
Opposition leader of parliament?
Wafula's first blunder already within his first twenty-four hours in office
when he creates a we-they(me-they) situation - read ....."why they have been
behaving the way they did"

The newly appointed Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Wafula Oguttu, has said
he will negotiate with the National Resistance Movement party prior to making
some decisions of national interest.
Wafula was elected on Friday by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC)
to replace Nathan Nandala Mafabi in a move many see as an attempt by the
incumbent president Mugisha Muntu to strengthen his hold on the party.
Speaking to New Vision in an exclusive interview, Oguttu said: “I will ensure
that we do some of the things through negotiation with the NRM.”
Asked to clarify on what would prompt him to negotiate with NRM, Wafula said:
“There are some bi-partisan matters, which we must agree on as a nation
regardless of our political differences.
"I will create an environment where both the opposition and the NRM can listen
to each other.”
Regarding his plans for the polarised opposition within Parliament, Wafula
vowed that one of his major missions in his tenure will be to unite the
opposition to work as a team.
“I will reach out to every opposition member," he said, adding: "The good thing
is that I have been talking to everyone. I will find out why some people have
been behaving the way they have been behaving."
The Bukholi Central MP underlined that he would not discriminate against other
opposition parties in his leadership.
