when UPC gets out of power Uganda will never change. Why is this population

Bad politics was started by Milton Obote and UPC in the 1960s not DP. UPC is
the source troubles in Uganda. It was UPC which first killed internal Party
democracy in the 1960s before it moved on to abrogated the 1962
constitutions negotiated and agreed by Ugandans.
UPC and Obote was the pioneers of antagonizing the proper management of
political parties in Uganda, arrested Political leaders within UPC and DP's
Ben Kiwanuka and many others for no reason.
UPC and Obote went on to abolish opposition political parties and started
militarizing politics. He began relying on the Army officers like Idi Amin.
Later Amin turned against Obote and overthrew UPC government, released
political prisoners including Ben Kiwanuka.
Naturally Ben Kiwanuka and many others were happy to be released and to help
to find a political solution which had been messed up by Obote. Its through
that effort why Ben Kiwanuka and many others lost their lives in 1972 until
this day.
DP has been fought by all dictatorial governments in Uganda right from the
colonial government, UPC/KY govt, Amin govt, UPC/Obote II govt and Museveni
govt.
All those governments have been harassing and killing DP members. There is
no political party in Uganda which has lost its leaders/members through
brutal political killings like the DPs. It is amazing that DP remains alive
today and continues to produce fantastic politicians! We remember, praise
and pray for the wisest elders who guided in the formation of DP that God
rest their soul to everlasting peace.
However, as long dictatorial governments continue harassing DP with its
truth and justice, Uganda will continue to fail to spot out on what true
democracy can offer. I pity those who blame DP for what Uganda has gone
through and cannot see the contributions of DP for Uganda. Long Live DP - DP

The DP of the mid - 1950s running through 1960s had true nationalists
politicians those thought and have believe about the national interests of
the whole Ugandans. But, after the marry making of DP with dictator Amin

stands today, DP has no head or tail regarding ideological politics, but
only the game of ethnic majority fighting for its dominant role in the DP
party. This means there exist no nationalism calling as a journey forward!
The Lukwago, MP Betty Nambooze and others are just the disciples of ethnic
majority without any nationalism creed of seeing the whole Uganda
Statehood. In other words, these are anarchists or separatist who are trying
to use DP not as a Uganda national political party!
