Name Sake
Gas has been smelling on this building for a week, why it was never checked out
ask those that live in the building why they decided to be poor and do not
matter. Personally I just want to make an appeal to the people of New York.
Please grow up and stop to be crybabies, these things happen in all cities of
that size, and apart from making information public we do not stand to make
such little thing an international issue for a God damn building has collapsed.
A gas depot of Sunrise blew up in this city. How many New Yorkers heard about
it? We have a small town in Eastern Quebec by the name of Lec-Magantic in which
a train with gas load derailed and gas went into the sewer system, blowing out
all pipes from the underground and going with the buildings, killing 47 people.
Lac-Magentic is a very small town of 6,000 and if in a town of that size you
lose 47 people, every dead is known by someone, did the city of New York know
about this? But now oh my God the city of New York has been attacked again and
we are in an attack mode. My God it is embassies now making public statements
out there, for the city has been attacked. Geeeez may be we need to call it a
public holiday now too. It is an old building blown up and sadly 2 people are
dead. Clean up and rebuild for that is what cities do.
Jesus !!!!!!!

Gwokto;
The utility company, ConEdison will be held criminally liable here. They were
informed late last night about possible gas leak in that area, but never sent
anyone to check it.

Two people have died after a massive New York City explosion levelled two
buildings.
At least 15 people were injured in the blast, which caused the collapse of two
buildings on Park Avenue in East Harlem.
Utility company ConEdison tweeted that it was responding to reports of a gas
odour in the area just before the explosion occurred.
It’s unknown if any people are trapped at the site.
A local TV station is reporting that residents heard a loud explosion around 9
a.m.
“Everybody got scared because the blast was so strong,” George Lizzano, whose
office is nearby, told CTV News Channel Wednesday.
“All the buildings (were) moving and shaking like an earthquake.”
Lizzano said he saw people being taken away on stretchers, bleeding and
seemingly unresponsive.
TV footage showed heavy smoke billowing from the buildings and firefighters
blasting water on the site from extended ladders.
CNN reported that nearby buildings are being evacuated. It also reported that
firefighters are handing out masks to residents in the area because the smoke
is so thick.
A number of cars parked along the street in front of the buildings were crushed
by falling debris. Police have cordoned off a two-block radius.
The site of the reported explosion is near train tracks. Commuter train service
in the area has been temporarily suspended.
