You need to realize that I am not in Uganda so either way I hold no interest
let alone gain in who wins what, so my reasoning is simply based on critical
thinking. For a very long time Ugandans have lamented about The Movement,
they have told everyone to join the opposition and file a single candidate.
Ugandans today are praising the win of Brenda as a fruit of that combined
opposition. And that is the point where we as critical thinkers look into
the barrel of the very reasoning. The entire charade of joining a single
opposition has been joining FDC and filling one candidate. And yet the
numbers I see coming from Luwero are mainly DP and The Movement. If The
Movement is that bad in Uganda why is their candidate building such a high
number of votes? If FDC is the best secondary party in Uganda and even an
official opposition, why isn’t it even listed with the votes it got?

No no no don’t cut corners call it bizarre for that is exactly what the
Luwero election depicts sir.

Mr Mulindwa,

Actually, the best way to gauge the mood of the electorate is to use
by-elections or any other public office elections. Mid term elections in the
US for example, signal what awaits those up in the peaking order in the
White-House.

435 seats in the house of reps are up for grabs, mayors, governors and many
other officers subject them selves to elections, how can you not take that
very seriously? The fact that president Museveni is using arm twisting
tactics to force the his NRM party let him sail through unopposed tells the
full story. Kind of mid-term internal party elections if you like.

The witting is on the wall.

Yes it can be underestimated, by-elections are never used to judge a sitting
government in as much as we all need but adore to think so.

Simbolic as it may seem, the defiance and determination exibited by the
people of Luwero can not be underestimated. 28yrs of lies...."things begin
to fall apart". This situation is expected to replicate its self ele where
in the country.

Twakoowa!!
